Main Responsibilities


The Etch Tech will provide technical level support for the Etch and Clean line. Primary responsibilities will be performing preventative maintenance, diagonostics and maintaining waste water/waste water system in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations.

The Etch Tech position includes trouble shooting, testing, continuous improvements and working in a highly intergrated team environment with maintenance and engineer associates. Working alone or as part of a team, providing day to day support in the etch area.


  • Manage waste water system
  • Assist engineer in running chemical process evaluations
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the etch, stripper and clean room machines
  • Reviews all manufacturing and OSHA procedures on a regular basis
  • Set and Maintain chemical processing equipment within operational parameters
  • Identifies any potential safety hazards and seeks immediate correction
  • Manages the supplies for the Etch area
  • Records usage of materials and coordinates with Team Lead to insure materials are available in a timely manner
  • Be able to communicate all quality issues with panels and chemical baths to supervisor and/or engineer immediatly
  • Understand and carry out instructions in written, oral and/or diagram form
  • Completes all internal departmental documentation accurately
  • Perform all tasks as requested and assigned by management
  • Trains level I, II, and Etch inspector associates
  •  Keeps work area clean and organized
  • Supports a safe working environment
  • Identifies any potential safety hazards and seeks immediate correction
  • Use all required personal protective equipment
  • Able to lift 25lbs. or more

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience For the candidate to be successful as an Etch Tech. any combination of the following whether it is educational, tech. school and/pr experience is acceptable. 1. Must have a background in basic chemistry 2. Must have a background in electrical processing/electrical testing equipment 3. Knowledge of pump and valve systems 4. Must have a background in mechanics (machinery) 5. Must be familiar with computers
