Main Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Rep will perform the daily sales and customer service activities related to Heatron customers in an assigned territory.  The ISR will support sales activities of the Regional Sales & Business Development Manager (RSBDM) and our contract representatives in the field.  Assigned districts will include 4 to 8 rep territories. Backup support to the other Reps will be required as directed by management. 

The ISR will coordinate with the RSBDM for account strategy and direction.  Travel by ISR will be required, as directed by the RSBDM, to conduct business reviews and/or address selected business development or current business issues assignments.

ISR will be auto-assigned new accounts in assigned territory and assist with territory marketing research, cold calls, and re-touching of current business or past accounts to qualify new business opportunities in support of outside team partners.

Relative to managing Accounts within the assigned region, the Inside Sales Rep will be responsible for:

  • Working closely as a team with Heatron representatives and the RSBDM, develop relationships with key decision makers at accounts from individual contributors to upper management where possible, and nurturing those relationships to maximize our sales and profit opportunities. 
  • Develop an ongoing and thorough understanding of the business issues and needs of these accounts in order to develop plans, programs, and processes to satisfy these needs.
  • Engage the activities of representatives in supporting Heatron’s strategic initiatives.
  • Orchestrate internal resources, (engineering, production, purchasing, accounting, customer care, etc.), needed to deliver quality products and services.
  • Identify value added and new business opportunities within the assigned accounts, and then work in conjunction with the RSBDM and representative to develop and execute sales plans to close these opportunities.
  • Facilitate pricing decisions and cost reviews as required on an annual basis or as a result of performance issues identified internally.
  • Enter purchase orders per sales procedures.
  • Enter return authorizations per Heatron procedures.
  • Ability to travel, sometimes with little or no warning.
  • Report on account activities and strategies to the RSBDM Manager on a weekly one on one basis.
  • Enter quotes from engineering as well as Opportunities into CRM.
  • Manage customer inventory levels or KanBan systems through customer internet portals to release orders internally at Heatron.

Relative to prospecting and qualifying new business opportunities, the ISR will be responsible for:

  • Assessing business issues and needs of the customer accounts within assigned region to identify and qualify new sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the RSBDM to engage new opportunities as needed.

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in Heatron’s monthly reviews with Agency Representatives, as requested by RSBDM.
  • Participate in company and departmental meetings as needed.
  • Participate in trade show activities (preparing for and/or staffing) as needed.
  • Participate in marketing programs as needed. Execute other appropriate tasks as designated by the Inside Sales and Customer Care Manager.


High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree in business or related study is a plus. Minimum 3 years Inside Sales or Account Management for a manufacturer of OEM products or similar proprietary Inside Sales experience. Background should include order entry and account management by working with all internal departments in the manufacturing processes to satisfy customer expectations. Experience in prospecting for new business and/or value added opportunities to meet or exceed revenue forecasts and growth within existing accounts.
