Visual Diagnostics – Custom LED Design for Glaucoma Detection
A world leader in the visual electrophysiology field offering products in 40 countries and specializing in equipment used to diagnose a large number of ophthalmic conditions sought out Heatron's expertise to help them with the complete design and assembly of the high power LED light engine for their eye exam device.
The client required a design that would allow them to place a large number of 3-watt emitters on a small (3"x4") board, and be able to control them individually.
Heatron worked collaboratively with the client to design the board, using a maximum LED density on a small metal core printed board. Our unique circuit design allowed for six different LED colors to be controlled independently even though 38 individual 3-watt emitters were mingled on the circuit board.
Creative and collaborative design and technology integration were the ingredients for success in total product development for our client. We helped solve their problem.
