New ThermaMold™

Heatron Introduces New ThermaMold Conformal Thermal Compound

Leavenworth, Kansas – July 12, 2011 – Heatron a leader specialized in custom design and manufacture of heating solutions introduces ThermaMold.

Suitable to various markets applications where heated areas are required ThermaMold will conform easily to complex or irregular shapes. This permits a custom fit with flexibility in production runs of low or high volumes. Ease of installation is a key feature of the ThermaMold insulation.

ThermaMold unique performance enhancement is changing from the standard heater set up where the heater was in direct contact with the heated surface. In some cases there is an air gap created by the heated shell and the part which means inefficient heat transfer and inconsistent surface temperatures. ThermaMold will utilize the concept of having the thermally conductive silicon base material molded to the contour of the part to be heated. This will allow a flexible heater to be bonded to the uniform outer surface. Our goal was to eliminate the air gap improving and maximizing the heater surface area.

Heatron ThermaMold can operate up to 200 ºC. ThermaMoldhas a better and more efficient heat transfer capabilities – less heat loss – which in consequence drives lower power requirements. ThermaMold allows surface temperatures in compliance with SEMI S2 mandates and is also UL® 94 V-0 compliant.
