POSITION SUMMARY

Maintains Quality Management System for the department to ensure conformity of purchased materials, manufacturing processes, and finished product, from receiving to shipping.QA Supervisor will work with customers, suppliers, Heatron’s Associates, contractors and outside sources to develop product quality requirements.

Maintaining Compliance to:

  • TUV
  • CSA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Will be resoinsible for:

  • Managing Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Assist management to define Measurable quality goals
    • Assess the current effectiveness of our QMS and plan and implement improvements with Daily, Weekly and Monthly goals
    • Lead management to evaluate the effectiveness of current QMS
    •  
      • Results – Measurable and Data Based
      • Approach – Plan to improve
      • Deployment – Execution of the Plan
      • Assess – Are we getting the results we anticipated?
      • Refine - If not getting the results – Start over with results
    • Return Material Authorizations (RMAs)
    • Corrective Actions
    • Preventive Actions
    • Vendor Quality
      • Vendor Corrective Actions (VCARs)
    • Assist in calibration of tools and equipment
    • Active participant in Design Reviews, Scorecard, PEM, and Management meetings
    • Lead and train Associates in determining Root Cause and Corrective Actions


Management of the Quality staff

  • Annual reviews of Associates, evaluating strengths and weaknesses, establishing growth plans and improvement plans
  • Management of the receiving function to assure quality components are released to production
  • Management of the shipping function to assure packaging, labeling, and paperwork including certificates of conformance are correct and included
  • Determine cross training needs for quality associates:
  • Quality engineers
  • Internal Auditors
  • Inspectors
  • Shipping clerks
  • Receiving
  • Others as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

A BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, or Industrial Engineering preferred.Minimum 3 years of ASQ, CQT, CQE or CQM certification preferred

Experience

3 years QA management in a Tier One environment

Have excellent understanding of FMEA, Control Plans and Process Flow
